Form I-9 Compliance secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Data collected by Form I-9 Compliance is protected by multiple hardware and software layers that allow secure web interactions and business-to-business communication without compromise. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) took effect on January 1, 2020.  This legislation secures new privacy rights for California consumers and primarily addresses business that collect, use, share or sell personal information.

CCPA gives rights to California Consumers.

1) Right to know what information is collected, used, shared, or sold .

2) Right to delete personal information held by businesses.

3) Right to opt-out of sale of personal information.

4) Right to non-discrimination in terms of price or service when a consumer exercises a privacy right under CCPA.

CCPA applies to certain businesses when at least one of the following is true:

  • Businesses with gross annual revenues in excess of $25 million.
  • Businesses that buy, receive or sell personal information of 50,000 or more consumers.
  • Businesses that derive 50% or more of annual revenue from selling consumer information.

Form I-9 Compliance does not meet any of the above requirements to be governed by CCPA.  However, it is important for our Customers and Business Partners to know that Form I-9 Compliance does not ever share or sell Personal information submitted to our platforms for the purposes of completing the I-9 form or submitting to the E-Verify system.  It is also important to note that the individuals for whom our customers submit personal information to complete the I-9 or E-Verify submission are not allowed to delete their information in our system as the customer, their employer, is required by U.S. law to retain the data for specific periods of time.

Changes to this Statement

Form I-9 Compliance will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. Form I-9 Compliance encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how Form I-9 Compliance is protecting your information.
