What is the Form I-9 and why is it important to me?

Federal law requires that every employer who recruits, refers for a fee, or hires an individual for employment in the U.S. must complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

What is E-Verify?

E-Verify is a system operated by Department of Homeland Security allowing employers to confirm the information that employees provide on their Form I-9. The E-Verify system works by trying to match Form I-9 data with information maintained by various government agencies, such as Social Security Administration.

What is the difference between Form I-9 and E-Verify?

Form I-9 is a required document for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States.

E-Verify, authorized by Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA), is a web-based system through which employers electronically confirm the employment eligibility of their employees.

How do I know my data is secure?

Who determines the E-Verify employment eligibility status?

Can we produce any reports on the I-9 data?

The Fi9 software allows users to generate various reports on a company’s Form I-9 records stored in the database,  as well as E-Verify submission data. There is also a custom report feature, allowing users to compile and generate the perfect report for their needs.
