Welcome to Boston University's electronic Form I-9 site.

As a new employee of Boston University you are required to complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 on or before your first day of employment. Section 2 of the Form I-9 must be completed at Human Resources within your first three days of work. If you do not complete a Form I-9 within three days, you will not be able to continue working at the University until a Form I-9 has been completed.

You will report to Human Resources on your first day of work to complete Section 2 of the Form I-9. You are required to bring with you an original document from List A OR an original document from both List B AND List C.
Step 2    In order to complete Section 1 of the Form I-9, you must select one of the locations below.
  • If you have been informed that you are assigned to a federally funded contract which requires the use of E-Verify, check the E-Verify selection for the campus where you will be physically working.
  • If you have not yet been informed that you will be assigned to a federal contract, select the location for the campus where your position is physically located.
Boston University's Charles River Campus (CRC) is located primarily along Commonwealth Avenue in Boston's Back Bay. It begins in Kenmore Square and continues west to Brighton Avenue along side the Charles River. CRC is the center of all undergraduate Schools and Colleges but also has numerous graduate programs.

Boston University's Medical Campus (BUMC) is located in the city's historic South End. It is comprised of the Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Public Health, and the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences and is bordered by Albany Street, Harrison and Massachusetts Avenues.

Step 3   Click on the Proceed button below to complete Section 1 of Form I-9. If you have been issued a University Identification number (UID) then you may enter it in the UID field located at the top of the form. If you do not have this number, then you may leave this field blank, it will be added at a later date.
